Happy Sunday! My relaxing me weekend is coming to an end and I am feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take on the week ahead! I’m also super happy that CJ is coming home tomorrow. While the alone time was great, the house definitely is quieter and feels like something is missing without him.
I started my morning off with yoga that my apartment complex put on for residents. It was a beautiful day and they put it on over on one of our patios which was super relaxing. Having been going to CorePower so much recently, the restorative and slower nature of class was refreshing and also helped me focus on my form which I don’t ever get to do in CorePower because I’m always moving so fast. Also – any opportunity to enjoy the outside before the cold comes I’m up for!
After yoga I ran some errands, and then took Malcolm for a walk. Again, just trying to get outside as much as possible.
Wanted to share a F-Factor approved recipe I made for dinner. I’m definitely going to write a detailed blog post about my experience with F-Factor but until then here’s a super easy recipe I made that made me feel like I was getting my normal pasta and bread fix!
I sautéed mushrooms, broccoli, and red pepper while also boiling Great Low Carb Bread Co’s Rotini (ordered from Amazon) in a pot. I then mixed the two together and added olive oil, garlic salt, and grated parmesan. It was delicious and super easy to make! High in fiber and low in carbs!
For anyone who follows F-Factor, people have been RAVING about the new biscuit recipe that launched with the introduction of their new 20/20 Fiber/Protein Powder.
You can find the recipe here. I made the recipe as is only subbing olive oil for coconut oil as I was out of coconut oil. They came out pretty good and I added some Country Crock Almond Plant Butter. I’m not going to RAVE about them like the rest of the F-Factor community but they’re definitely a healthy sub to regular biscuits and help you hit your Fiber goals.
I’m going to try making them again with some other subs and will report back if I find anything amazing.
While CJ’s away, it also gave me time to play with my new products from Glossier. At the pop-up, I purchased BubbleWrap, Boy Brow, and Brow Flick.
Bubblewrap is a eye and lip pumping serum. It’s supposed to help with under eye circle and pump your lips. While, I’m still waiting on my lips to look like Kylie Jenner’s, I will say I’m a huge fan of this for under eye circles. The first time I used it I felt a tingle and freaked out that I was having a reaction (I have super sensitive skin) but then I looked in the mirror and I looked wide awake and the dark circles under my eyes were gone! It was a miracle. The trick here is you have to apply to a clean face – no make up and before you moisturize. I’ll keep using it and see if I notice a difference in my lips.
Brows! My eyebrows always need TLC. I get super lazy with my brows which really isn’t great because they’re so important as they’re the center of your face. I’ve used various brow products that I’ve loved: Anastasia Beverley Hills, Benefit and I love them all! But wanted to give Glossier’s a try since they’re in town with their Boston pop up. Boy Brow is a gel and I’d say it works similar to any of the other brands but I do love the Brow Flick and found this unique to their brand. It’s basically a liquid eyeliner pen for your eyebrows and it is magic in defining them and giving you bold brows. Probably not something I’d use every day, but for those nights out it’s definitely a game changer!
Well that’s all I got :).
Has anyone else tried any of the Glossier products? What do you guys do on weekends alone?
